Welcome

Above: the Order of Maria Theresa of Austria, celebrating the victory of the Austrian Army on the Prussians at the Battle of Kolin in 1757

This Journal is dedicated to the memory of the Emperess and Queen Maria Theresia (latin spelling) von Habsbourg, and specifically to the Order that carried her name and that gave title of Freiherr (Baron) to its members, because of fighting acts of bravery.

The Habsbourg Empire, its Sovrane the style and kindness of that period probably died with the Empire itself in 1918 and the Europe that rise from the its ruins were and is totally different in spirit.

This journal simply reports facts, ideas, pictures concerning the period of the Habsbourg ruling over Europe through my personal interpretation with papersoldiers, to recreate the charme of the epoch.

This is actually not a proper historical blog, but a wargame/historical/uniformologic blog, where I will report facts from that epoch  reinterpretated by my papersoldiersthat you can see in the following pictures.

Specifically it represents the battle of Leuthen in December 1757 between Prussians and Austrians (with Bavarians and Wurtemburgers) at a 1:1 ratio proportion.

The final goal of this blog is then to represent the battle of the long lasting Habsbourg Empire, through its soldiers and foes, thying to give the same glimpse of the battles of the epoch.

Obviously I will write posts about the Prussian Army, or about other periods and Armies, because at the very end, the final aim of a blog is to enjoy to write it, without that much of limits.

I do apologize, since now, for my level of English.

"ALIA GERANT BELLA, TU FELIX AUSTRIA NUBE"
